As a flight bag the PLC Pro
has everything you need,
and then some.
other two side pockets for my headlamp, spare
batteries, USB charger cables, and a dualUSB
cigar lighter adapter. Knowing where
you've stashed certain items needed in a
pinch is a benefit from a pack with thoughtful
organization features. (Ever try to quickly
locate a headlamp as the sun sets?)
But wait! We haven't even opened the
top-loading, cavernous inside, which easily
swallows a noise canceling headset, your oldschool
paper logbook, sunscreen, additional
power accessories, an action camera with
accessories including interior mounts-and in
my case, remote flash photography gear, a small
camera, and overnight essentials.
Dual-slotted, cushioned accordion zip-out
back pockets are sized for a laptop and a fullsize
iPad. Four smaller pockets organize power
cords for both with room to spare for paper
charts and the latest AOPA Pilot magazine.
I've been using the PLC Pro flight bag since
before EAA AirVenture 2024 for my general
aviation flying, as my day-to-day knock-around
bag, and as a travel companion on AOPA photo
assignments across the United States.

Redesigned MGF Flight Bag PLC Pro carries it all

THE FOLKS AT MyGoFlight are pilots and tinkerers so it's no surprise that the latest
model of the flagship PLC Pro flight bag incorporates much of what the team has
learned since the Denver company's founding 10 years ago.
As a flight bag the PLC Pro has everything you need, and then some. Starting
at the top, an outside front pocket keeps sunglasses or prescription glasses within
easy reach. Moving down the outside of the bag, I found the lower front pocket
to be the perfect place for my iPad Mini 6, housed in its own MyGoFlight leather
folio cover for added protection. You can stash a slender USB rechargeable phone
battery in each of two dedicated vertical slots, while pens, highlighters, small
tools, or penlights ride in attached outer sleeves. A hidden zippered pocket has
a keychain clasp and additional storage. Dual outside half pockets on the pack's
left side plus a single, but tall, outer right-side pocket handle items you might
need in a pinch. I slip a slender water bottle in the large pocket and use the

explained that the bag sits upright so professional
pilots can access it on the flight deck of a
jumbo jet, but it also slides under a commercial
aircraft's passenger seat to provide reasonable
access to your laptop or iPad. The bag slips over
a roller suitcase should you press it into double
duty as an airline carry-on and removable
backpack straps keep the bag from snagging.
My one beef is that I overloaded the
PLC Pro with so much aviation and camera
gear that the generously padded shoulder
straps fought to break free from across my
chest. Martinez questioned my sanity after
I complained to him and then presented me
with a one-inch-wide adjustable sternum
strap that clips to the straps and neatly solved
