BEST PRACTICESQUIZ
IMPROVED CORPORATE VISIBILITY
Corporate sponsored or matched giving can lead to financial
incentives for the company as well. A well-established and
skillfully-promoted corporate volunteer program can raise a
company's visibility in the community. This can improve your
company's reputation in the public's eye, or help maintain a hardearned
reputation in the face of challenges.
While the media is not always quick to cover business-related
announcements and accomplishments, a beneficial volunteer
event or a cause well supported always makes good news, and
offers your company PR access to reporters that might otherwise

be tough to get. Sponsoring a youth sports team, participating
in a fundraising walk or a community food drive, or staffing
an informational tent at an " aviation day " or local air show
raises awareness of the positive effects your business and your
employees can have in your community.
These are just a few examples of the kinds of benefits a strategic
corporate volunteer program can provide. Some other important
factors include:
* Employee development
* Encouraging teamwork
* Improved communication
* Building brand awareness
* Improved employee retention
* Providing subject matter for corporate content creation
All of this still just scratches the surface in regards to how
corporate volunteer programs benefit the company that commits
to them. If you're wondering how your flight department can reap
the rewards of corporate giving, start by asking your employees
who they volunteer with, or which causes they would like to
support if they had the time and the backing of their employer. You
might be surprised at how ready your team is for a give-back event
that raises your company profile in the community.

With the pandemic waning people are traveling again, which
means that airlines have resumed both flight schedules and
hiring. That means business aviation pilots are getting ready to
upgrade, from analog instrumentation to digital, from single- to
multiengine aircraft, piston engine to turboprop, and ultimately,
turbine-engined multi-crew aircraft. Are you ready? Here are a
few questions you may encounter on your ATP oral exam.

A) Magnetometers measure the strength of the earth's
magnetic field to determine aircraft heading.
B) An aircraft magnetometer provides the heading

C) Magnetometers back up the aircraft's magnetos.
D) A and B.
2 Is jet fuel more susceptible to water contamination
than avgas?
