Sherpa is a website designed for " getting the right travel
documentation and understanding up-to-date travel
requirements " to international travelers. Its COVID-19 travel
map is very interactive and gives users the ability to change
the country of passport, departure, and destination and select
vaccination status to get a quick look at a travel scenario that
is specific to you and your passengers. As with the other sites,
International travel has become more
complex during this time of COVID-19 but
thankfully, information is now flowing freely
and there are websites designed to keep us
up to date and informed.
Sherpa includes links for additional information and especially
helpful are their hyperlinks for required forms and proof of
vaccination. I also like the summary which includes what
countries are open fully, open with restrictions, not open, or
require quarantine from your location.

The International Air Transport Association displays their COVID-19
information in a world map format. Simply click on each of the
countries for a list of restrictions. The list of restrictions are pretty
general and there aren't a lot of additional resources links for
them so you'll have to use one of the other sites for more detailed
information. The website is geared toward passengers and
includes a pop up that says that information for only 10 countries
can be viewed in the map without a subscription (however, I
didn't seem to have a problem seeing more than that without the
subscription...shhhhhh...don't tell).
One more great (though sometimes controversial) resource worth
mentioning is social media. Although I'd back the information up,
asking a question on a pilot group or forum can often turn up
someone who just completed the same type of trip you're about
to embark on and who may be able to point you in the right
direction.
Opsgroup (https://ops.group/blog/tag/opsgroup/) is probably the
best resource around for reliable group-think, backed up by actual
research and useful links. Pilots helping pilots is always a great
way to go. It's a paid subscription but if you have access, it's a
wonderful resource.
International travel has become more complex during this time
of COVID-19 but thankfully, information is now flowing freely and
there are websites designed to keep us up to date and informed.
Hopefully, this time of unpleasantness will end soon and we can
return to something resembling " normal. " In the meantime, I hope
