CPME Update Fall 2013 CPME Residency Visits: Invitation for Comments about Programs The Council on Podiatric Medical Education’s residency and fellowship approval processes include consideration of third-party comments. The list below identifies all site visits scheduled currently for the fall of 2013. Third-party comments must address substantive matters relating to the quality of the program and CPME standards and requirements and should be forwarded to Alan Tinkleman, the director of the council, at CPME, 9312 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD 20814. Comments must be received 30 days prior to the program’s scheduled site visit date. An updated list is maintained on the council’s website, www.cpme.org. All third-party comments must be signed. Comments will be forwarded to the evaluation team, and to the program director for response if appropriate, during the evaluation visit process. Approved Programs • • • • • September 27 Carl T. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL, with the standards and requirements of the council. The council will take into consideration all comments received by October 15 as part of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine on-site evaluation scheduled for November 11–14. Comments must relate specifically to the council’s standards and requirements as published in CPME 120, Standards and Requirements for Accrediting Colleges of Podiatric Medicine. A copy of CPME 120 may be obtained at www. cpme.org. Signed comments received by the council will be shared with the institution and evaluation team members. The institution will be notified of the third-party comments so it can have an opportunity to respond. The council will exercise its best efforts to keep confidential the identity of an individual or entity who submits a comment, unless the person or entity has specified in writing that it is permissible to reveal his/her/ its identity. If confidentiality is appropriate, all correspondence with the institution will maintain this confidentiality. During its review of the college, the evaluation team considers third-party comments, if any, that relate to the accreditation standards.
