Make the Most of Your Time at The National

he APMA Annual Scientific Meeting (The National),
July 27-30 in Nashville, TN, is the must-attend meeting for every podiatrist first and foremost because of
its impressive educational program that provides 25.5 CECH.
Educational tracks feature medical and surgical content but
also touch all aspects of podiatry. However, much more happens at The National that makes it the preeminent annual

Exhibit Hall
In addition to helping you in the exam room, The National will help boost your practice. The massive exhibit hall features the leading vendors in podiatric medicine and has everything you need to improve your patient care and get some
help with the business side of medicine. Whether you are
looking for new surgical equipment or marketing assistance,
you will find it in the exhibit hall.
Attendees will enjoy extended unopposed hours in the
hall on Thursday and Friday. Thursday's Mix and Mingle, taking place after the completion of the day's lectures, will feature light fare and live entertainment-a must-have for any
Nashville event! This extra time in the hall is ideal for catching up with colleagues and connecting with vendors.

New to The National this year is the inaugural APMA Podiatry School Student Quiz Bowl. The competition features one
student from each of the nine colleges of podiatric medicine.

Podiatry Management Hall of Fame Luncheon
The National will once again host the Podiatry Management
Hall of Fame Luncheon. This year's event will honor G. Dock
Dockery, DPM, and Benjamin J. Wallner, APMA director of Legislative Advocacy and APMAPAC. You may reserve your spot at
the luncheon ($75 per ticket or $750 for a table of 10) when
you register for The National. Proceeds benefit the APMA Educational Foundation Student Scholarship Fund.

The New APMA Booth
The APMA booth (#1027) has been redesigned to better
serve the needs of our members. The new layout will allow
attendees to quickly find the right APMA staff member to answer their particular questions, and better understand all the
resources available to them through their organization.
Additionally, the booth will contain a mini-theater that
will host a range of topics during scanning breaks, including
the popular non-CECH social media presentations during
lunch on Thursday and Friday. Other presentations will include a coding "Ask the Experts" open forum, APMA's Member-Get-A-Member campaign, and advice for transitioning
into retirement.

The seventh Team APMA 5K Run/Walk will take place at
The National's host property on Saturday, July 29. The race
starts at 6 a.m. and is open to attendees registered for The
National and exhibitors attending the meeting. Family members of registrants and exhibitors are also welcome to participate. Registration is $20 for podiatric medical students and
$25 for all others.
Runners and walkers will receive a free ASICS running
shirt. Sleepers will receive a complimentary cotton shirt. Shirt
sizes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will also receive a goody bag with more than $100 worth
of products, including a pair of Spenco Total Support Sandals.
Proceeds from the event support the APMA Educational
Foundation Student Scholarship Fund. Since its inception,
Team APMA has raised more than $55,500 to benefit student scholarships. Learn more and register at www.apma.

Students will answer trivia questions in hopes of winning bragging rights for their school (and cash prizes for themselves).
The event will take place on Saturday, July 29, at 5:45 p.m.
