Tailored to the Practice of Podiatry
Implementing technology-based solutions tailored for podiatry makes it easier to meet the challenges of day-to-day practice. NextGen Office EHR offers a podiatry module, podiatric-specific chief complaint forms and care plans, and preloaded
findings specific to the foot and ankle. NextGen Office EHR is
working on integration with the APMA Registry so that users
can submit data from the EHR directly to the APMA Registry
with the goal of meeting MIPS reporting requirements.

services such as staffing support and claims denial reprocessing. All staff support personnel are based in the United States.
The RCM team is dedicated to serving NextGen Office clients. If you choose, you can turn over all billing responsibilities to this team, eliminating the need to maintain your own
billing staff.

A History of Innovation
Integration of a cloud-based, mobile- and tablet-friendly
solution into the NextGen Healthcare family of products took
place in 2016. It was an important milestone in the evolution
of technology for health-care practice.
MediTouch grew out of a company named HealthFusion,
which was founded in 1998 by two doctors with one goal-to
make the medical office run more efficiently. The company
founders sought to create technology that would accommodate
physician and staff workflow. One motivating force was their
frustration over the time it took to verify a patient's insurance.
The first HealthFusion product was a clearinghouse solution
that is still used by practices. It now offers full claim scrubbing
and submission services and supports more than 2,500 payers.
The HealthFusion clearinghouse quickly grew into a fully integrated practice management solution, EHR, and patient portal.
All components were designed with the same idea in mind-to
create easy-to-use, affordable technology that fits into a doctor's
workflow and provides accessibility from anywhere.
The HealthFusion product line was rebranded as MediTouch
because the EHR was one of the first to be designed for mobile
touch screen devices. As a part of the new NextGen Healthcare
family, NextGen Office is now backed up by the richer resources available to a larger company, ensuring it will continue to
evolve and remain a strong solution for the independent practice of podiatry.
