n consideration of the current COVID-19 pandemic, APMA canceled The
Coding Seminar, scheduled for March
28 in Dallas. However, recognizing the
continued need for both foot and ankle
coding and compliance training for its
members from recognized experts as
well as the general need for CECH with so
many canceled events, APMA has
scheduled a virtual coding seminar on
Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ET.
The event will offer up to 3.75 CECH for
podiatrists, podiatric medical assistants,
and Certified Professional Coders.
The event will be a condensed, online-only version of what had been planned for March.
Original presenters Jeffrey Lehrman, DPM, and David Freedman, DPM, are still leading the
program, and ample Q&A time is built into the agenda (see below).

residents pay only $49 to attend; regular APMA members and podiatric medical assistants pay
$99. Students may register for free.
Additionally, APMA plans to be back in Dallas for an in-person event on November 14. This
fall seminar will not offer CECH. More information will be shared as soon as it is available.

TO HELP CREATE CONSISTENT
VISUAL CONTENT
Users of traditional text-based social media
platforms like Twitter and Facebook may
find the highly visual nature of Instagram
daunting, so consider experimenting with
photo and video apps to help you create
eye-catching imagery. Apps that elevate your
images with creative designs include Canva
and LiveCollage, in addition to your phone's
default tools.

EXPERIMENT WITH INSTAGRAM STORIES
Instagram stories are a smart way for users
to help their audience stay in-the-moment.
These posts differ from those in your newsfeed in that they have a 24-hour time limit
and are accessible from the top of the app.
Stories also allow you to use unique text fonts
(including different colors) and stickers,
as well as to create simple polls and other
interactive elements. Show off your creative
side in these posts by including short, witty
content or throw in an emoji or two.
Remember, the keys to your success on
any social media platform are consistency
in publishing regular content; retaining an
authentic, personal voice; engaging with
other influencers in your community; and
being willing to test out new strategies.
