In Memoriam:
Terence B. Albright, DPM
APMA is saddened to share that Past President
Terence Albright, DPM, passed away at the end of
December. He was the 2005 recipient of the APMA
Distinguished Service Citation, APMA's highest honor.
Dr. Albright was integrally involved in the Project
2000 House Review Committee that helped to
reshape podiatric medical education. He served as
president of APMA from 1998-99 and was dean
of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric
Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of
Medicine and Science from 2001-2010. He was
instrumental in affiliating the college with Rosalind
Franklin University.
Dr. Albright also served on the Board of Trustees
of the then-Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine
and the Board of Directors of the American
Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine.
He was active with the Maine Podiatric Medical
Association and Illinois Podiatric Medical
Association over the course of his career.
Dr. Albright will be missed by a grateful profession.

Richard H. Lanham Jr., DPM
APMA is saddened to share the passing of Richard
H. Lanham Jr., DPM, past president. Dr. Lanham
passed away December 11, 2023, following a
recent illness.
Dr. Lanham graduated from the Ohio College of
Podiatric Medicine in 1958 and trained at the renowned
Civic Hospital residency program (the first
podiatric residency program) in Detroit in 1959.
Dr. Lanham served as a podiatric physician in the
Army, retiring as a captain and entering private
practice in Clarksville, IN. He was active with the
Indiana Podiatric Medical Association and went
on to serve on the board of APMA, culminating in
his presidency in 1985-86.
Following 24 years in private practice, Dr.
Lanham was hired as dean for Academic Affairs
at the California College of Podiatric Medicine,
in San Francisco. He later became president of
CCPM from 1986-94.
Dr. Lanham's contributions to podiatric medicine
and surgery were many and momentous. He
will be missed by a grateful profession. To make
