The APMAPAC Board of
Directors held its annual meeting
on November 13, 2024. The
board elected and welcomed
two outstanding new members,
Sandra Raynor, DPM, APMAPAC
coordinator from Indiana;
and Karen Lambert, executive
director of the Florida Podiatric
Medical Association (FPMA).
The board bid farewell to two
distinguished, dedicated board
members: William (Bill) McCann,
DPM, of New Hampshire;
and Matthew Solak, executive
director of the Indiana Podiatric
Medical Association (IPMA).

Dr. McCann has devoted his entire
professional life to advancing
the field. He is a steadfast
in his dedication, passion, and
unwavering commitment to the profession. His
distinguished career is a testament to the power of
leadership by example, and his impact on legislative
and political advocacy will resonate for years
to come.
As treasurer of APMAPAC, chair of the
Communications Committee and co-chair of the
APMAPAC Coordinator Network, his work has
resulted in increased member education, engagement,
and contributions. His service has ensured
that the voice of podiatry remains strong and influential.
His work has not only protected the interests
of the profession but has also paved the way for
future generations to thrive.
On this milestone, we thank Dr. McCann for his
remarkable service and leadership, which remind
us all of the importance of volunteering to serve
and advance our great profession. The board
thanks Dr. McCann for his 15 years of excellent
service and inspiration.
Matthew Solak has served with distinction and
excellence for the last six years as the APMAPAC
board liaison to the executive directors of state
podiatric medical associations. As IPMA executive
director, he brought significant experience in
legislative and political advocacy. As a lobbyist,

Solak's contributions brought a higher yet different
perspective to the APMAPAC board. Along
with Dr. Raynor, the Indiana PAC coordinator, he
ensured that Indiana exceeded annual goals for
contributions, and in the process, they raised the
level of awareness of APMAPAC in the Hoosier
state and nationally. The board thanks Solak for
his outstanding years of service to APMAPAC and
the profession.
Welcoming New Board Members
APMAPAC proudly welcomes two new board
members, Dr. Sandra Raynor and Karen Lambert.
They both bring a great deal of leadership experience
to the board. Dr. Raynor has served the IPMA
in multiple leadership positions including president,
and she has also served as a delegate to the APMA
House of Delegates. She is proud to have two
daughters following in her footsteps to become
podiatric physicians and surgeons.
Lambert has served as the executive director
and CEO of the FPMA for the past eight years. She
has extensive experience in legislative and political
advocacy at both the state and national levels.
APMAPAC is excited to have Dr. Raynor and
Lambert join the APMAPAC Board of Directors.
