At Pachacamac, a great number of tombs containing ceramics of various styles were uncovered. Among these were Chimu and Chimu-influenced vessels, a 38 wooden idol of definite Chimu style as well as ceramics and ear spools probably from the Lambayeque region of the Peruvian North Coast located to the north of the Jequetepeque Valley. Artifacts at Pacatnamú also point toward the presence of people foreign to the immediate area.
