TROY OVER THE MILLENNIA Troy IV: As with Troy III, there is not much known about Troy IV, except that there were indications that the settlement still was protected by walls. There was also evidence that domed ovens appeared during this period for the first time. TROY IV: 2100 - 1950 B.C. Troy V: Knowledge of Troy V is limited for the same reason as that of Troy III and IV-damage to the site by Schliemann's excavations. The houses of this period suffered damage, but not, apparently by fire. During this time, the fortification wall was still in use.
