The goal of this workshop is to facilitate
a strong lifespan understanding of
palliative care for speech‑language

making, inter‑professional training,
person‑centered care, and ethics in
palliative care. The presenters highlight
how SLPs need to counsel and partner
with clients and their families, regarding
advance care planning.

upon their hearing technology to
perceive speech and language. But,
why do some children with hearing
technology have highly intelligible
speech while others have poor or
unusual articulation? This course will
provide guidance for audiologists,
speech pathologists, and listening
and spoken language specialists to
evaluate production errors to determine
if they are indicative of the need for
reprogramming of the technology, further
auditory brain development, or specific
articulation therapy.
