Join us in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday
evening to catch up with friends and
colleagues and mingle with exhibitors.
This upbeat reception provides
dedicated time to check out the
exhibiting companies, socialize, and
network, all while recharging your
batteries with light snacks and a cash
bar before you head to the "Twilight"
Education Sessions. The Welcome
Reception is open to all fully
registered attendees; inquire about guest
ticket availability for friends
or family at Registration.

Is the 2017 ASHA Convention your
first? Come to this popular gathering
to learn about the Convention and to
preview programs and activities slated
for the next 3 days. You'll have an
opportunity to meet ASHA President
Gail J. Richard and Convention CoChairs Mary Casper and Anita Vereb,
as well as other ASHA representatives.
Enjoy light refreshments.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11

From Thursday through Saturday during
the ASHA Convention, the Caring
Square will offer a fun and unique
way for attendees to give back to the
Los Angeles community. The Caring
Square in the Exhibit Hall will be open
all day, and activities are designed so
that participants can jump in whenever
they have some free time. Projects will
include creating superhero capes and
badges for Rady's Children's Hospital
and Literally Healing, building storage
lockers for No Limits for Deaf Children,
decorating trays for St. Vincent Meals
on Wheels, building playsets for Speech
and Language Development Center,
and decorating surfboards for Operation
Amped. An enthusiastic professional
facilitator will be on hand throughout
to provide guidance and instruction to
participants as well as to make sure that
everyone has fun!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11
6:30 P.M. - 9:30 P.M.
On Saturday evening, the ASHA
Convention concludes with a fun party
where you can relax and celebrate
another great year with friends and
colleagues. This year, we're taking
advantage of the relaxed West Coast
vibe and mild weather by throwing
an L.A.-style street festival, complete
with food trucks, live music and local
artisans! After sessions wrap up on
Saturday evening, head over to the patio
area adjacent to Petree Hall outside
the convention center for lively party
to close out our annual event. It'll be a
fiesta you won't want to miss!
Limited shuttle service will be available
to make travel from the Closing Party
back to hotels convenient.
If you did not purchase a ticket in
advance, check at Registration for
availability. You may also turn in tickets
there if you do not plan to use them.

Hear! Here! Audiology Open House

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10 * 8:30 P.M.-11:00 P.M. * JW MARRIOTT, PLAZA II
ASHA, in partnership with the Los Angeles audiology community, is excited to host this unique gathering of pediatric, educational, clinical, private
practice, and research audiologists in addition to audiology students! This
special Open House will follow the ASHA Awards Ceremony. Stop by to network with your colleagues and enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and limited free
drinks. It's the largest event for audiologists at the 2017 ASHA Convention!
