Stop by the NSSLHA Lounge to pick up student-related
ribbons, meet National NSSLHA leaders, and make new
friends! While there, nab one of our free giveaways and snap
a selfie in our selfie station. Post your pic to Instagram with
#NSSLHAexperience17, and participate in our Instagram
scavenger hunt to win a fun prize! Winners will be randomly
selected, and prizes will be awarded daily. And, of course,
NSSLHA staff will be on hand to answer any questions about
NSSLHA and NSSLHA activities at Convention.

The Concierge Learning Center will provide guidance
in creating a learning path that is meaningful to your
professional interests. Staff will help you identify sessions to
meet your goals and then-to extend your learning-will
suggest additional courses and resources to investigate after
the Convention concludes.

Leadership, Advocacy, Media Skill-Building,
and MORE!)

Practice Portal Lounge

Stop by to learn how the Practice Portal can help you find
resources on clinical and professional topics-all in one easyto-access location on the ASHA website!

The Empowerment Zone will help you speak up, speak out,
and be heard! Learn more about speaking with the media,
public speaking, and personal branding and storytelling to
sharpen your social, political, and personal advocacy skills.
Come share what you care about, channel your passion,
and find your path to action. Find out more about the
Empowerment Zone on page 12.

Public Relations/Value of the CCCs Lounge
CC, WEST LOBBY AREA

Stop by the ASHA Public Relations (PR) Lounge to check
out the new ads for the Value of the CCCs campaign; the ads
feature ASHA Certified Members. You can learn more, receive
campaign giveaways, create your very own campaign ad, talk
to ASHA PR staff about how to get involved, and become
eligible for a drawing to win one of four iPad minis!

Faculty-Researcher Lounge
CC, WEST HALL A

The Faculty-Researcher Lounge is a popular place for faculty
and researchers to connect, learn about the CSD Education
Survey data, get questions answered about academic and
clinical education issues, and engagement opportunities with
our award, mentoring, and research education programs.
Learn about ASHA's initiatives to enhance supervision
training and interprofessional education/interprofessional
collaborative practice (IPE/IPP). In addition, program
directors, faculty and site visitors can consult with members of
the CAA and Accreditation staff.

International Lounge
CC, WEST HALL A

Welcome, international participants! Everyone is invited
to stop by and learn about ASHA International Programs.
Find out more about the benefits of the International
Affiliates program; ASHA's international initiatives;
ASHA's collaboration with the World Health Organization
(WHO)-and, in particular, with the Pan American
Health Organization (PAHO); SIG 17 (Global Issues in
Communication Sciences and Related Disorders); and the
International Issues Board. An interactive world map will be
showcased so that international participants can locate and
place a pin on their countries. Share, ask questions, and learn
from your colleagues!
