2024 issue. What a great argument
for heat pumps!
All the issues with the gas line
pressures, pilot lights, equipment,
etc., demonstrate how much easier a
heat pump would be. (But then we'd
have no column.)
I'd like to learn if the church has
ever conducted an energy study
to improve building effi ciency,
commissioned the equipment on the
campus or discussed what heat pump
units might replace the methane gas furnaces. " When
it dies, electrify! " is an easy slogan, but requires
preplanning. Otherwise, the HVAC contractor just
slaps in an equivalent furnace, and a chance for
decarbonization is lost.

important correction, as most mold
inspectors do not assess window
ventilation, but should, as the lack of
code required minimum openable
window area allows occupant
generated moisture to accumulate
with ensuing surface condensation
and mold growth. Also, the lack of

many low income residential units. "
