requires a multidisciplinary effort incorporating computer
scientists, engineers, urban planners and architects
developing AI techniques.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase
in the use of technology and automation in architecture.
This trend affects all aspects of the profession, including
project delivery, design, building performance evaluation
and building operation. However, not all architects
have been able to take advantage of these emerging
technologies due to a lack of training in technical aspects
and a lack of knowledge of AI technologies specifically.
Compared to other professions, architecture has been
relatively slow to adopt AI technologies. One major
obstacle that has hindered the adoption of AI in architecture
is that the existing curriculum in architecture
schools has not kept pace with the technological revolution.
The traditional curriculum focuses mainly on
design principles and hands-on skills while neglecting
to teach the necessary technical skills and knowledge
required to effectively use emerging technologies. This

with the skills needed to use AI in their work effectively.
To address this problem, there is a growing need to
modify existing architectural curriculum to include
courses and training on the use of AI. This will ultimately
lead to a trained future workforce that can use
the latest AI models to design and build energy-efficient,
comfortable and resilient high-performance buildings.
