In 2007 it built a LEED® Silver office building on its headquarters campus, experiencing the benefits and demands of sustainable construction from the perspective of a design-builder and as an end user and owner. The firm monitors the performance of its new building and an existing office building, which is used for similar purposes, analyzing how the higher performance requirements of LEED certification affects operating costs and the indoor environment.
