iven America's love of our automobiles, it's no wonder that the
drive-in theater became as ingrained into American culture
as baseball and apple pie. But before 2020, would you have
guessed that they'd be on their way to a resurgence? As
many families seek a safe alternative to traditional movie
theaters in response to closures and stricter sanitary
measures, that's exactly what's happening.

As many are just recently discovering, drive-ins can be a fun, relaxing
way to enjoy an old favorite or recent release, depending on showtimes
in the area. Along with the casual dress code, many drive-ins offer the
ability to set up your lawn chairs and blankets so you can enjoy a flick
under the stars (weather permitting!) Be sure to plan to arrive early so
you can secure a good spot, and bring card or board games along to
keep everyone occupied before the show starts. Most drive-ins also
offer concessions for your popcorn fix.

The industry received another shot in the arm in June of this year,
when retail giant Walmart announced it was transforming 160
store parking lots into drive-in theaters starting in a special
event which ran from August-October, during which it
