Loon Mountain is a popular family ski destination, but its terrain
parks draw adventurous snow sport enthusiasts as well. The top
après-ski spots here welcome both groups with warm hospitality
and the promise of an exceptional experience.
On the mountain, nobody's done it better longer than The Paul
Bunyan Room located at the base of the gondola. The Bunyan
Room is the area's original après-ski haven and a favorite of
locals for decades. True stories originating here rival the tall
tales of the lumberjack whose imagined likeness graces painting
after painting on the walls. During the day, the Room is abuzz
with folks stopping in on their way to the gondola, huddled for
a fireside lunch, or toasting fellow skiers from the wraparound
deck. But when the slopes close, the energy ramps up-
especially on Saturdays, when " Bunyan's Legendary Nights "
brings live music from some of the best bands in New England.
The Common Man Restaurant® is a converted family home with
a flagstone fireplace, cozy couches, and parlor games. It's a warm
and welcoming spot in Lincoln and hosts lots of families after a
day on the slopes. The Common Man offers gluten-friendly fare,
wine, spirits, beer, and of course, dessert. Consistently voted Best
of New Hampshire by readers of New Hampshire Magazine, it's a
must-see stop along your journey.
