NOMINATION PROCEDURES
The 2018 Douglas Mooers Awards Committee
is seeking nominees for the prestigious Douglas
Mooers Award of Excellence. The award, to be
presented at NAILBA 37, November 1-3, 2018 in
Orlando, FL, is the highest honor presented in the
brokerage community. Your help is needed to
determine this year's worthy recipient.

CRITERIA
In submitting a nomination for this distinguished award,
please take into consideration the following criteria
(listed in order of importance) which the committee
will use in determining this year's recipient:
* Influence on the development and promotion of
the independent brokerage distribution system
* Outstanding contributions to the life and/or health
insurance industry
* Active involvement in charitable, volunteer and or
community/ local affairs
* Brief Summary of Contributions
* Please attach a letter and/or biographical documents,
if desired.
* It is very important that you include detailed information
concerning the nominee's charitable or volunteer activities
outside of the brokerage community.

* Principal, associate or staff member of a NAILBA
member agency
* Officer or non-officer of a NAILBA exhibitor or
sponsor company
* Journalist
* NAILBA executive/administrative office personnel
* Educator, regulator, legislator

RULES OF NOMINATION
Nominations must be submitted in writing on the
official nomination form. Additional comments can
be submitted (on your office stationery) by a voting
member from a NAILBA member agency or by an
officer of a NAILBA exhibitor or sponsor company.
Nominations must include an overview of the
individual's charitable and volunteer work outside
of the normal flow of business. There is no limit to
the number of times a person may be nominated.
Once the formal nomination has been made,
the Award Committee may personally interview
you for additional information on your candidate.
Nominations will be accepted until August 10, 2018.
Incomplete nominations will be returned to the
nominator for additional information.
