CAWG members and staff gathered on Nov. 7 in
Modesto to celebrate Bill Berryhill as outgoing chair
of the CAWG board of directors. Thank you, Bill, for
your dedication, guidance and enthusiasm. CAWG
and the winegrape industry are fortunate to have
you as a leader. "Make America Grape Again!"

A Message from Bill

It has been a great honor and privilege to serve as
board chair of this great organization these last two
years - not only because of the great work CAWG
does fighting the battles in Sacramento and D.C.
on behalf of our industry, but because I am able to
work with so many dedicated board members who
volunteer so much time, money and expertise to
fight for the industry we all love.
It has also been special for me personally. CAWG is
an organization that is cherished in my family. My
dad was once called the godfather of CAWG by Al
Scheid, so to be able to serve as chair these past two
years, I know I would have made my dad proud
and put a big smile on his face up above.
I also want to thank our amazing and talented staff.
Over the past two years they have worked on so
many projects and issues, not to mention keeping
me on task and making it look like I knew what
I was doing. I don't know if they were successful
at that, but I do know they did their best! l look
forward to continuing to work on the board and
defending our industry and way of life.

Our deep appreciation to the four distinguished outgoing
board members (photos on next page) for their longtime
volunteer service and contributions to CAWG. As staunch
supporters of the winegrape industry, all have played
important roles in furthering the industry and association.

New Officers, Directors

CAWG is pleased to announce the new officer team, as well
as new and re-elected board members. CAWG is governed
by 28 growers in seven districts who serve three-year terms
beginning Dec. 1. Bios for our new chair and new directors will
appear in the December issue of The Crush.
