a milestone
anniversary of 65 years of
dedicated service to the
translation and interpreting
professions. As we reflect
on our rich history and the
visionary founding members
who paved the way, we're
excited to announce several
initiatives and new and
improved member benefits.
ATAware Store: The relaunch
of the ATAware Store has
given members the chance
to show their ATA pride with
limited-edition items. ATAbranded
merchandise can be
found online and orders are
shipped directly to you. Shop
the ATAware Store today!
As we think about
the long-term
future of ATA,
we'll continue to
find new ways
to enhance the
member experience
through expanded
programs and
services that
enrich your
professional journey.
Nimble AMS: As I write this,
the long-awaited association
management system (Nimble
AMS) is in the final testing
stages. Our beta test group
provided invaluable feedback,
helping to ensure a userfriendly
experience for all
members. The updated
member directory will
include new and enhanced
ways to help members
connect with other industry
professionals. Members
will be able to update
their member profile, add
certification and interpreter
credentials, language pairs,
a member profile photo,
and résumé. A frequently
asked questions page will
be added to the member
section of the website, and
our communications team

will provide video tutorials
to help members familiarize
themselves with the new way
of logging into the Members
Only section.
Membership Campaign:
We're also launching a new
membership campaign
to expand our diverse
community of professionals.
Each quarter, our membership
team will target a new way
to connect T&I professionals
through membership benefits.
Our spring new member
campaign focused on sharing
ATA's membership benefits
with the T&I community
while encouraging everyone
to join us for this year's
65th Annual Conference in
Portland, Oregon, October
30-November 2.
Professional Development:
The feedback from our recent
professional development
survey has led to an increase in
webinar offerings and training
opportunities, providing
members with valuable
resources to enhance their
skills. We encourage you to
continue providing feedback
on webinars and other ATA
educational offerings as we
strive to improve the member
experience.
New Membership Manager:
Finally, we're thrilled to
welcome Megan Watson
as our new membership
manager at ATA Headquarters.
She will work with Tish
Henderson, director of
membership, divisions, and
chapter relations, to enhance
our member services and
engagement opportunities.
Megan is a membership
professional with over
seven years of experience
in associations, corporate
relations, marketing, and
creating the best member
experience possible. Prior
to joining the association
community, Megan taught
English in Nantes, France, and
gained first-hand experience
of the importance and value of
translators and interpreters.
Further, she is experienced
working in component
relations and association
database systems. Welcome
aboard, Megan!
Thinking Long-Term
As we think about the
long-term future of ATA,
we'll continue to find new
ways to enhance the member
experience through expanded
programs and services that
enrich your professional
journey. In our future
thinking, let's consider how
ATA can evolve as society
changes, the economy
adapts, and technological
advances provide us with new
ways of doing business. With
these new initiatives, ATA is
positioned to grow and
continue to lead the T&I
industry through
connection, community, and
continuing education. I
encourage you to join in the
