many wide turns as the dogs where drawn toward the offcourse teeter, with a few dogs actually touching the teeter
and earning a wrong course fault.

The #9-#12 sequence is shown in Figure 4. This section was
dominated by the off-course tunnel entrance in many ways.
The majority of handlers decided they needed to block the
dog's view of the off-course tunnel entrance with their body,
often a good strategy when you can manage it properly;
however, it was complicated in this scenario because handlers were coming from the table and had to get past the
end of the teeter. The strategy used by most was to send the
dog to #9 and then quickly move past the end of the teeter and do a front or blind cross to get the dog on their left
side. While this worked well in most cases, it did lead to a
number of dogs doing a flyoff from the teeter as they tried
to catch up to their handlers who were well ahead of them.
Some handlers actually got so far ahead of their dogs they
lost connection and the dog ducked behind them into the
off-course tunnel entrance. The other strategy used was
the one I anticipated when I designed the course: send to
#9, pull to the teeter keep the dog on the right, pull to #11,
and then a rear cross to the tunnel. This, of course, worked
perfectly... okay, maybe not perfectly! The off-course tunnel vacuum was definitely set on high as a number of dogs
went off-course or almost off-course before their handlers
could get them to jump #11.
