As you'll be able to see, I was able to save a lot of steps by handling the course using my distance skills. Let's look at my distance handling choices. Obstacles #1-#5 a very short lead-out to the landing side of jump #1 so I can use my forward motion to send my dog out on the arc of jumps. I use my "Go" command and my right arm to support jumps #2, #3, and #4 as I walk in an arc toward jump #5. I cue a front cross at jump #5. I don't need to move much for the opening of this course as you can see in Figure 2, I just need to support my dog's line.
