She recalls being allowed to stay up late to watch the coverage; and being yelled at to please stop chattering and just watch by her father, a Republic Aviation tech illustrator and ham radio operator who was eating his heart out because he had turned down a job at Grumman years earlier. He was exasperated that his only child was taking virtually no interest in the technological miracle but instead was preoccupied with her work on an illustrated manuscript of the lyrics to “Sugar, Sugar.” She also recalls ribbing her father, whose name was Buzz, that he was the second guy to walk on the moon, too bad, hah hah. — Diana Scheben Music by Ben Leopold , a composer, singer and musician currently studying music at Radford University in Virginia.
