Housed in the beautiful Moulton Theatre in Laguna
Beach, Playhouse roots go deep always welcoming the
community, including years during WWII when it
offered entertainment to the troops and hosted USO
dances. Ann explains, "The cornerstone of our mission is to enrich lives and deepen our service to the
region by creating experiences that stimulate cultural
and social interaction and inspire our community.
We do that by providing year round programming-
something for everyone - including more than 300
performances; wide-ranging theatrical productions,
award-winning family productions, plus it is our honor to host other professional companies in Orange
County through the annual Laguna Dance Festival,
Laguna Beach Live Music Festival, and by featuring
the impressive 75-member Laguna Concert Band."
Are you a member of the Laguna Playhouse Family? If so, you may have enjoyed some of these legends
on stage; Bette Davis, Harrison Ford, Val Kilmer, the
vivacious Leslie Caron (kicking up her heels again
last year at the sprite age of 81 in the acclaimed SIX
DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS), Cloris Leachman and many more talented performers. This year
Linda Purl and Ed Asner are being added to the illustrious list.
Knowing that building community includes embracing children and the whole family, Laguna Playhouse offers year-round classes for young people and
twice a year the students and friends join in to stage
family productions-this year PINKALICIOUS for
the youngest theater fans, and TOM SAWYER for the
older youth and families. Perhaps you have grandchildren you'd like to bring to a performance, maybe
even to introduce them to the magic of theater for the
first time. "It was so much fun to bring my 4 year old

niece to the Playhouse for the first time." Karen remembers, "She saw a recent performance of STINKY
KIDS, THE MUSICAL that had her thrilled-on
the edge of her seat, eyes bright, with a huge grin. A
special connection was made that opened the world
of performing arts to her that day. It was such a joy to
watch that door open for her."
Laguna Playhouse is the place where fun begins
and friendships are formed through special on-stage
experiences you and your loved ones will long remember. You are invited to please join in--it's the best
