The featured projects range from small offices to large purpose-built headquarters for varied organizations. Within a building by AL_A, PLP Architecture and Hassell crafted an energetic workplace for the London-based media company Sky (here and page 84), while Graham Baba Architects created a transcendent headquarters rooted in the landscape of Washington State for the family-owned Washington Fruit & Produce Company (page 92). Inside an Amsterdam building by Jo Coenen Architects & Urbanists, Fokkema & Partners fashioned a refined office interior for the law firm Stibbe (cover and page 100) that highlights transparency. Hacker designed a Portland, Oregon, headquarters for the online banking company Simple (page 108) that embodies the straightforward essence of its business model, while Rapt Studio conceived an innovative workspace for a software engineering group within HBO Seattle (page 114) that is infused with the city's heritage. Finally, HOK and PLP Architecture designed the UK's largest and most significant biomedical research center, the Francis Crick Institute (page 120) in London.
