Arthur Drexler (1925-1987) served as the curator and director of the
Architecture and Design Department at the Museum of Modern Art
(MoMA) from 1951 until 1986. Drawing on rigorous archival research,
this book analyzes how Drexler's contributions and MoMA became
a touchstone for the practice and study of midcentury architecture.

A pioneer of California Modernism, designer Gere Kavanaugh has
put her unique stamp on textiles, furniture, toys, graphics, store and
restaurant interiors, holiday decor, housewares, and public art-even
designing and curating exhibitions. But perhaps her most enduring
project has been the joyful, ongoing experiment of her own lifestyle
and homes-a dream of color and handcraft.

This book showcases the staircases of Sri Lanka's preeminent
architect, Geoffrey Bawa, through his numerous and varied architectural
and landscape designs for residential, public works, gardens, and hotel
architecture. It's a primer of how staircases are often the most dynamic
spatial elements of a building or landscape.

The go-to architect for the Jazz Age elite of South Florida and
beyond, Addison Mizner created extraordinary houses and other
structures for the wealthy Palm Beach socialites. This book explores
Mizner's legacy through his built work, including such storied homes
as La Guerida mansion, best known now as the Kennedy Estate-
the place where JFK composed his Inaugural Address.

This book examines the first decade of the work of New York-based
Architecture firm, HWKN, whose approach to creating buildings
puts people first. The first part of their book discusses the lessons
learned and the second part is a detailed look at how the firm
puts its principles into practice to create places that become
meaningful parts of people's lives.
