Brad Brotherton, a third-generation auto
dealer in the state of Washington, says he
learned the importance of community service from his father and
grandfather. Among Brotherton's many charitable efforts: In 2005,
he created Brotherton's Charity of the Month, a showcase that raised
more than $250,000 for groups including Seattle Children's Hospital.
He also initiated the Brotherton Community Champions program
to recognize community leaders. After his father was diagnosed with
cancer, the dealership focused its charitable work on fundraising for
the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Since 2008, Brotherton
has raised more than $1.2 million for the center.

Mike Carpino says the best part of his
30-year automotive career is the ability
to serve his hometown of 3,200 residents. After working for other
dealerships in Kansas, he opened a used-car store in 2004 and then
with his wife purchased his Columbus dealership in 2005. Carpino
currently chairs the Kansas Automobile Dealers Association. He is
a strong backer of local school programs and activities. He hosts
Ford Drive 4 UR School events and supports the Columbus Unified
High School booster club, high school football game raffles and
youth softball and baseball teams.

After 15 years in the auto business, Brent
Brown became sole owner of his dealership
in 1999. Much of his community service supports education. Brown
organized an annual auction-for which he has been master of
ceremonies-that has raised more than $2 million over 14 years
for the Provo City School District. He also is board chairman of the
school district's foundation. Brown has contributed more than $1
million to Utah Valley University, where the school's stadium has
been named Brent Brown Ballpark. He served on the Utah State
Board of Regents from 2009 to 2011 and currently is a member of
the Governor's Office of Economic Development.

After a 22-year military career, Raymond
H. Cottrell Sr. began selling cars in 1974.
Finding he had a knack for the business, Cottrell opened a usedcar lot in 1977 and founded Ray's Ford two years later. Cottrell, a
veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, has been the commander
of Brandenburg's American Legion post for 52 years. He is a
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans,
the Association of the U.S. Army and the National Council on
Aging. In 1998, he purchased the local Little League field to save it
from demolition and now leases it to the league for $1 a year.

Uncertain about a career path, Wallace Camp
Jr. decided to try selling cars at the family
dealership. He liked it so much that he earned a bachelor's degree
from Northwood University in Michigan and made auto retailing
his career. Camp is a hands-on volunteer, participating in recovery
meetings and leading Bible study groups at local correctional
facilities and his own church. He is an advisory board member for the
Salvation Army in Portland, Maine, which named him honorary chair
of the annual Salvation Army Champions for Kids fundraiser. Camp
also helps Barbara Bush Children's Hospital and Honor Flight Maine,
a transportation service for veterans.

After graduating from the University of
Nebraska, Sid Dillon began working at his
family's Fremont dealership in 1983. With brother Blake and their
partners, Dillon's company has expanded to eight auto dealerships
and four motorcycle stores in Nebraska. Besides his role as a key
local employer, Dillon says his most important contribution is being
an active member of his community. He is a board member of the
Fremont Area Community Foundation, The Bridge, the Fremont
Family YMCA and Friends of the Fremont Area Parks. He also serves
on the University of Nebraska's President's Advisory Council.
