EXISTING INDUSTRY
Michigan's automotive industry
speaks for itself. With 12 assembly plants, 92 of the top 100
automotive suppliers in North
America and more engineers
per capita than any other state,
it is the epicenter of the North
American automotive industry.
The Aerotropolis region is home
to Ford, General Motors, Mopar,
Visteon, Brose, Inergy and more.
Michigan's next-generation
mobility industry is also a
global leader. One example of
this leadership is the American
Center for Mobility (ACM), a 500-

acre federally designated testing
and product development facility
for future mobility. Designed
to enable safe validation of
connected and automated
vehicle technology and accelerate
the development of voluntary
