AUTOMOTIVE NEWS EUROPE Bentley Flying Spur GENEVA AUTO SHOW Kia concept McLaren P1 Showstoppers U ltraluxury vehicles and high-end sports cars have largely escaped Europe’s sales downturn. UK, U.S. and Italian brands hope that trend continues as they will unveil their latest entries in these segments at the Geneva auto show this month. Volkswagen XL1 Qoros 3 sedan Opel Cascada MARCH 2013 Bentley will debut a redesigned Flying Spur sedan, while Rolls-Royce will show a coupe version of the Ghost sedan. Supercars on display will include the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible and the McLaren P1. Among the mainstream brands, show visitors will see the Citroen Technospace concept, which previews the next C4 Picasso medium minivan and the new Nissan Note, which goes on sale in Europe this autumn. The Opel/Vauxhall Cascada has its first public outing while Volkswagen will Citroen Technospace show its XL1 plug-in hybrid, which it says will be the world’s most fuelefficient production car.
