over the Nissan store, its share
of new-vehicle sales in the
Oakville market has risen to
23.2 per cent from 8.5 per cent,

Used-vehicle sales at the two
Oakville stores have steadily risen since Carrasco introduced a no-haggle pricing policy shortly after he began managing the dealerships in August
2019. He used data-based systems that take the guesswork
out of determining the supply
and value of a specific make

human intuition away from
the transaction, " he said. " You
want to do something because
the data tells you, not because
you feel like it. If somebody

trades in a vehicle, I don't want
the used-car manager telling
me, 'I feel I can put this much
money on it.' I don't care what
you feel. "
In mid-May he extended
fixed-pricing to all new inventory. Buyers of new and used
vehicles who obtain financing
through the dealership have up
to 30-days or 1,000 kilometres to
return the vehicle.
Carrasco doesn't fit the traditional mold of general managers, said Andrew Tai, CEO
of Motoinsight, a Torontobased digital retailing platform,
which powers the Oakville
dealerships' websites. " He's a

but to some degree the auto
industry has been slow to

guy like him to stir things up a
little bit. He's not afraid to try

Carrasco said he would rather be seen as an industry champion.
