Nissan for Everyone
Brent Smith, Deputy General Manager, Fleet,
Residual Management & CPO and Member
of the One Team Cultural Taskforce has a
special message for Pride Month.
For more than 15 years, Nissan Canada
has worked hard to gather individuals
from different teams and departments
to focus on educational events,
networking and workplace celebrations.
By building and growing these
important groups, we've set up a
process of continuous feedback from
employees. This constant flow creates
a positive channel for change that
helps ensure that we maintain a more
inclusive culture and environment.
One of the key figures in that positive
progress is Brent Smith, a Deputy
General Manager and Member of the
One Team Cultural Taskforce. He sees
Pride Month as an important event on
the calendar and a reminder of what
really matters.

to promote an inclusive culture and
environment of belonging is a top
priority at Nissan Canada. First created
back in 2007, we are proud of the
multiple Business Synergy Teams
we have today. They bring our
employees together to focus on
various educational, networking and
workplace celebrations. One of our
six Business Synergy Teams is the
Gay Straight Alliance at Nissan (GSAN)

which is an internal employee resource
group that serves to be a catalyst for
a culture of equality and inclusion. It is
committed to building a safe, respectful,
and supportive environment for our
2SLGBTQI+ employees and allies.
Nissan Canada also participates in
industry events focused on DEI efforts
and their positive impact on the
workplace, including the " Embracing
DEI " roundtable series organized
by Automotive News Canada and
Accelerate Auto. As someone deeply
committed to a more inclusive and
promising future, I am delighted to be
the NCI representative learning from
and contributing to the conversation
at the next panel event on June 27th.
