with the appointment of respected academic Dr. Thorsten
Thümen.
Thümen joined the plastic
machinery supplier in Schwaig,
Germany, as head of application and process engineering 1
April to succeed Andreas
Schramm, who has left the

company to pursue new professional challenges.
Thümen is responsible for
aligning
Sumitomo
(SHI)
Demag's application, plasticising
technologies and Industry 4.0
technology-led developments.
Led by Thümen, the teams
now report to an application
centre (AC) hub, specifically designed to foster greater collaboration across the company's two
sites in Schwaig and Wiehe.

CoVestro
Covestro AG has appointed Sucheta Govil
as chief commercial officer (CCO), to join its
board of management 1
August.
Govil will take over
from Markus Steilemann, who
has held the positions of CCO
and chief executive officer

(CEO) concurrently since
last year.
She will be responsible for the three
business segments of
polyurethanes, polycarbonates and coatings/adhesives/specialities,
Covestro said in a 5 June
statement.

Kautex MasCHiNeNbau
Kautex Maschinenbau is reorganising its sales department,
dividing the unit into a packaging and an automotive division.
Managing Partner Andreas
Lichtenauer will be responsible
for the automotive division,
which will also include composite and special applications.
Alain Cappelle will be the
new director of the packaging
division, Kautex said in a statement.

Through its development as
an application-oriented sales
organisation, extrusion blow
moulding machinery supplier
said it would be able to improve
its proximity to its customers.
Cappelle has been working
with Kautex as a management
assistant since October 2018.
Before joining Kautex, he
worked for nine years in various
roles at Siemens AG's energy
business unit.

Hexpol
Hexpol AB has appointed Peter Rosén as new
chief financial officer
(CFO), the company announced 10 June.
Rosén will join Hexpol in November to succeed Karin Gunnarsson who
left the company in February.
He is currently CFO of
Swedish financial services
group Resurs Holding AB

Rosén holds an MSc
in
economics
and
business
administration from the University
of Lund.
"Peter has very successfully driven the finance function in his previous
assignments,
focusing
on
working close to the business,"
said Mikael Fryklund, president
and CEO Hexpol.
