Resin maker Chimei
launches Ecologue
materials portfolio

Resin maker Chimei Corp. unveiled
its new Ecologue material
portfolio, using post-consumer
and bio-based materials, including
a mechanically recycled ABS
resin, at K 2022.
The company plans to expand
with yet-to-be-developed
the initial Ecologue brand portfolio
innovations
including
more chemically and
mechanically recycled
content, bioplastics
and net zero carbon
production.

told Plastics News.
" In China, we have several key
accounts, customers in China
that are big in home appliances
... like refrigerators, air conditioners,
washing machines, products
that consume a lot of plastic, "
Hsieh said. " We've been targeting
some account because we have a
strong relationship with them. "
The company is studying its
customers' supply chains, he said,
to fi nd more sources of post-consumer
recycled materials.

responsible producer in the supply

Taiwan-based Chimei is a resin
supplier that designs and manufactures
polymer materials, synthetic
rubbers and specialty chemicals.
This is a brand-new area for Chimei,
a brand-new polymer. We're in the
