ZF - Fifty Years of Pioneering
Advanced Mobility and Autonomy

T

he journey to an autonomous
future has deep roots. At ZF we
began pioneering work on radar
systems nearly fifty years ago, and have
followed that up with introducing camera
technologies and highly advanced
processing units to make advanced safety,
convenience and automated systems
possible now and in the future.
Working with our ZF Ecosystem of leading
mobility partners, we are building on this
proud heritage to bring unprecedented
technologies to market.
Today, ZF has tackled the biggest
technical hurdle to making autonomous
vehicles a reality by introducing the ProAI

family. ProAI provides the advanced
processing power needed to gather,
coordinate, and make split second
decisions from the flood of data coming
from as many as 25-plus environmental
sensors - a monumental challenge. Until
now it was difficult to even consider such
a task - but thanks to ZF's breakthrough
technology level 4 and 5 autonomy is
within reach - without having a trunk full
of laptop sized supercomputers.
