Marco Ghirardello
Mario Rodriguez Navarro
Fanuc Europe Corp. has announced
the appointment of
Marco Ghirardello as its
new president and CEO, succeeding
Shinichi Tanzawa, who
has led the company since
2016. Tanzawa will now return
to Fanuc's headquarters for a
new assignment.
Ghirardello has been with
Ivar Vatne
Fanuc since 1994 and brings
a broad experience to his new
role. Most recently, he served as
the senior vice president of Fanuc
Europe, leading the factory
automation business unit, which
includes the company's CNC
control business.

Ann-Kristin Erkens
Arburg has named Mario Rodriguez
Navarro as the new
managing director, eff ective 18
July, of its branch in Querétaro,
Mexico, the company has announced.
He succeeds Guillermo
Fasterling, who had run
the location since it opened in
2008. Fasterling grew the subsidiary
into the successful enterprise
it is today.
Rodriguez Navarro holds a
Daniel Halstenberg
bachelor's degree in electronic
systems engineering and a
master's degree in business administration.
He subsequently
accumulated years of management,
sales, project and technical
experience in the fields of
robotics and automation, and
he is well acquainted with plastics
processing technologies.
William Wesley Pringle
Hiroyuki Yoshimoto
The board of Billerud AB has
announced that the company's
President and CEO Christoph
Michalski is stepping down, effective
immediately. Michalski
has held the position of CEO
since November 2020.
The board has appointed
Kevin Kwilinski
Christian Baier
the current CFO and deputy
CEO, Ivar Vatne, as acting
CEO. Vatne joined the company
as CFO in May 2019 and was
named deputy CEO in October
2022. Prior to moving to Billerud,
Vatne held various senior positions
within Arla, Fiskars and
P&G. The search for a new CEO
has commenced.

Thomas Strecker, an industry
insider with more than
25 years of experience in sales
management in the DACH region
and in global key accounts
September/October 2023
for manufacturers of injection
moulding machines, has, since
1 August, assumed the role of
vice president of sales at PlastiVation
Machinery GmbH.
Strecker started his career
in sales at KraussMaff ei Technologies
GmbH. He was named
global key account manager,
automotive, at KraussMaff ei
Technologies GmbH in 2007,
where he remained until 2014.
After a stint as regional manager
USA for Arburg, he returned
in 2016 to KraussMaff ei, where
he served as team leader sales
global key account and expert
sales at KraussMaff ei until embarking
on his present role.
SIG has announced the appointment
of Ann-Kristin Erkens
to the group executive board
as chief financial off icer, eff ective
1 November 2023. Erkens
joins the company from Henkel,
where she most recently
served as corporate senior vice
president and financial director
for the Adhesives Technologies
business, the global market
leader in adhesives, sealants
and functional coatings.
Product compliance and sustainability
software global leader
iPoint-systems has named
Daniel Halstenberg as its
new managing director and
CFO. Halstenberg is responsible
for the company's financial
strategy and all administrative
aspects at iPoint. He succeeds
Thomas Diezmann, his predecessor
in both functions, who
resigned from his posts for private
reasons at the end of June
and left the company at the
end of July.
Evident Corp. announced the
appointment of William Wesley
Pringle as CEO and Hiroyuki
Yoshimoto as president
and COO. Pringle has
taken over from Evident's interim
CEO Eric Anderson with
immediate eff ect.
Prior to joining Evident, Pringle
ran several companies for
Danaher, including Fluke Corp.,
a global test and measurement
leader, which he led for almost
10 years. As president of Fluke,
he oversaw a period of significant
growth and market expansion.
More recently, he served
as head of portfolio operations
at the private equity firm Onex
Corp., where he helped over a
dozen portfolio companies accelerate
performance.
Yoshimoto is an experienced
leader with a proven track record
of leading global companies
headquartered in Japan
and the US. Prior to joining
Evident, Yoshimoto had several
senior leadership roles at global
manufacturing companies
such as Nissan Motor Corp.
Group and Nidec Corp. Most
recently, he served as senior
vice president and Japan representative
at American Express.
Berry Global Group Inc., a leader
of packaging solutions for
consumer goods and industrial
products, announced that its
board of directors has unanimously
elected Kevin Kwilinski
as chief executive off icer,
eff ective 2 October 2023.
In connection with this appointment,
the board has elected
Stephen Sterrett, lead independent
director, as chairman
of the board, also eff ective 2
October 2023.
As previously announced in
February 2023, Tom Salmon will
retire from his roles as CEO and
chairman. He will remain with
the company through the end of
the calendar year in an advisory
capacity to ensure a smooth
transition.
The supervisory board of
Covestro unanimously appointed
Christian Baier as its new
CFO, eff ective 1 October 2023.
The role was previously fulfilled
by Thomas Toepfer, who left the
company 31 August 2023. Baier
served as CFO of Metro AG
from 2016; this was preceded
by various executive positions
at the international wholesaler
from 2011. Prior to that, his experience
also includes working
for Permira, a global investment
firm, from 2006 to 2011.
The supervisory board of Sikora
AG has appointed Holger
Lieder to the executive board,
eff ective 1 September 2023.
In his new role, Holger Lieder
is responsible for the areas of
sales, marketing and service.
