Mr. Mahoney, 49, the new president and chief executive of UHY Advisors New York, joined the tax and business consulting firm straight out of Bentley University, and mastered the trade for 27 years before earning the top spot. “You look at our partner group today, and roughly half of our Northeast partners, like me, have spent nearly their entire career at UHY,” said Mr. Mahoney. “That speaks to the quality of our culture here.” The company earns the business of clients through its planning and audit services, private-equity management, and financial modeling.
