100TH ANNIVERSARY event. The full day of
activities begins with a public rededication
ceremony at 9:30 a.m., featuring elected

Nixon and Billy Collins, and musical
performances. It will also be the opening day
of the exhibition “Grand by Design: A
Centennial Celebration of Grand Central

MARATHON, an annual event hosted by Symphony
Space. Featured artists include Ursula Oppens
(right), the Cassatt Quartet and Jane Ira Bloom
with Mark Helias and Bobby Previte. The event is
the centerpiece of the organization’s annual Music
of Now Series, which embodies its commitment
to 21st-century composers and performers, and
runs through Thursday, Feb. 28. It starts at 4 p.m.
