She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, went to law school at Georgetown, and worked for HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan when he was Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s commissioner at the Department of Housing Preservation and Development. She moved to the Economic Development Corp. at the end of Mr. Bloomberg’s second term, where until last month she was counsel and deputy chief of staff to Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Robert Steel.
