After Boston, races, parades and festivals want to beef up, but not all have the cash BY LISA FICKENSCHER AND ADRIANNE PASQUARELLI Less than 24 hours after the bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon last week, Dan Biederman, president of Bryant Park Corp., was meeting with his security director and outlining ways to dramatically ramp up safety measures. “We will be conducting various antiterrorist activities,” Mr. Biederman said, adding that he wants to double the security budget for all events.
