Tony Danza (below) is preparing for
his role in the new musical
Honeymoon in Vegas, which will
have a pre-Broadway tryout at
New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse
beginning in September. The
producers said last week that
Annie’s Brynn O’Malley has also
signed on for the musical, based on
the 1992 Nicolas Cage movie.
At the same time, Mr. Danza
had something of a reunion with
castmates from his TV days. On
May 21, he attended the critically
acclaimed Broadway play The
Assembled Parties, featuring Judith
Light, who costarred with Mr.
Danza on Who’s
the Boss. His
date was none
other than
actress Carol
Kane, a Taxi
alum.
Mr. Danza
was spotted at
the comedy—about love, loss and
a fabulous Central Park West
apartment—thanks to his
booming laugh, which often
drowned out the dialogue.
When a starstruck audience
member during intermission
admonished the surprisingly
diminutive actor, he mumbled, “I
didn’t know laughing was against
the rules.” Maybe not, but during
the second act, his decibel level
was noticeably lower.

A new exercise studio in
Manhattan, Silver Stars Fitness, is
targeting baby boomers and even
their parents in what may be a first
for the city, according to its
founder, Jason Greenspan.
Don’t expect the loud,
thumping music that blares from
most gyms’ sound systems, said
Mr. Greenspan, adding, “Our
music matches the era of our
clients.”
Located at 850 Seventh Ave.,
the studio offers 18 eight-week
classes for $240 each, including
basic yoga, Zumba and Pilates, as
well as balance and fall-prevention
classes. No class is larger than six
people.
Mr. Greenspan, 43, also
manages fitness facilities in
residential buildings via a second
business he owns, Practical Fitness
& Wellness. He is the author of
exercise books aimed at older
adults, including The Amazing
Water Bottle Workout. “I’ve been in
the fitness business for 20 years,
and the majority of my clientele
have been seniors. I feel like I’m on
a mission,” he said.

nna Castellani, co-owner of Foragers City Grocer, is straddling two
worlds: a lush 28-acre farm upstate, where she lives part-time with her
husband and two young children, and their thriving businesses in the city.
¶ With the growing season just getting started, she’s spending more time
on the farm harvesting, washing and packaging baby lettuces that are
brought to Foragers’ two locations: a retail shop in Dumbo as well as a
restaurant/retail combo in Chelsea that opened about a year ago. ¶ But
she still needs to leave her family each week to run a demanding business
140 miles away. ¶ “I have to work quite late in the city,” she explains. “It’s just too nutty when you
are growing a business. The kids are shielded from all that in a rather nice way up there.” For one
thing, there are 150 chickens running around the property, laying some 700 eggs a week. ¶ The
couple’s decision to purchase a farm in 2008 is part of the overall philosophy driving Foragers, a
small grocer that sells mostly organic food from local manufacturers and farms, including the one
