MARATHON, a 56-hour festival of improv
honoring director and teacher Del Close,
hosted by the Upright Citizens Brigade
Theatre. The shows take place at several
venues around the city and feature UCB
groups. Performances will go on through the
weekend at all hours. Wristbands are available
at any of the venues for $30. They work for
entry to most shows in the marathon, but for
a premium show (with a well-known group),

25th St. The event benefits the Yankee
second baseman’s RC24 Foundation, which
funds initiatives aimed at underserved
children, often in New York and the
Dominican Republic, but also around the
world. The event will feature a domino
tournament, and the finalists will go up
against Mr. Cano himself. Tickets are $500,
and domino tournament admission is $750.
