The event will allow local merchants
and entrepreneurs to network and
grow their businesses. The event will
be moderated by Randie Greenberg,
a business owner, member of the
GVCCC board and chair of its
membership committee. Tickets are

Of all the outdoor screenings in the city, the
CENTRAL PARK CONSERVANCY FILM FESTIVAL
is the probably the most comfortable, held
on the grassy slope between Sheep Meadow
and the 72nd Street cross drive. This year’s
lineup includes classics like West Side Story
and The Shining, as well as the more recent
Silver Linings Playbook. There will be five
free screenings in all. Gates open at 6:30

The Museum of Modern Art will showcase
some of the nation’s most notable artists in
AMERICAN MODERN: HOPPER TO O’KEEFFE.
The exhibit is pulled from MoMA’s own
collection of works from 1915 to 1950 and
includes paintings, drawings, photographs
and sculptures. The museum is at 11 W. 53rd

The BIDEAWEE LOVE ON A LEASH WALK in
Westhampton Beach, L.I., will raise money
for Bideawee, a Long Island organization
that helps animals in need. Participants can
bring their pets on the walk, which kicks off
at 8 a.m. at the town’s Village Green.

CancerCare will host a HAPPY HOUR AT
CK14 to raise funds. The organization
provides free support services for people
affected by cancer. The happy hour will

CHEFS FROM MORE THAN 50 restaurants around Union Square will prepare their
signature dishes with fresh fall ingredients at HARVEST IN THE SQUARE in Union
Square Park. The food is paired with wines and beers, many of them from New York.
Tickets start at $125, but VIP tickets, which offer an hour and a half of extra time at
