We asked Brother Adam Umbrasas about
his experiences with Phi Sigma Kappa
and why donating to the Phi Sigma Kappa
Foundation is a priority for him.
Why do you give to the Phi Sigma Kappa Foundation?
I support the Foundation's scholarship and leadership programs
because I believe that such financial commitment is the most
effective way to ensure the continuing success and prosperity of Phi
Sigma Kappa.

How has Phi Sigma Kappa affected your life?
Phi Sigma Kappa has affected my life in many ways. From the
lifelong friendships and memories to the learning experiences that
helped shape my character and prepare me for life beyond my time
on campus. I've been able to take the personal and professional
training offered at Leadership Schools and apply it throughout my
life thus far. I will always be thankful for the opportunities that Phi
Sigma Kappa afforded me as an undergraduate member and the
opportunities I continue to take advantage of as an alumnus.

Would you encourage other alumni to give to the Foundation, supporting the
educational programming provided to our undergraduates?
Of course, I feel that it is an opportunity to give something back to the Fraternity that gave us so much,
and anything we can do to help ensure that others will continue to have the same positive experiences is
well worth our efforts. It only takes one of my memories for me to realize the importance of my support
and for me to encourage others to emulate it themselves.

Do you plan to continue giving to the Foundation?
Absolutely, I will continue to support this brotherhood that does so much for so many.

What advice would you lend to your fellow Phi Sigs?
Take advantage of all opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. Opportunity is truly
what this Fraternity offers. I was provided the opportunities to attend regional conclaves and leadership
schools during my time as an undergraduate. This, in turn, provided me the opportunities for personal
interactions with alumni, volunteers, and undergraduates from chapters across the country. It was these
interactions that put me in the role of Grand Council Director today.
