s the Implementation and Organizational
Change Management Project Managers
for the new District Integrated Financial System
(DIFS) program, Vernessa Thompson, Project
Manager for Organizational Change Management
(OCM), and Janine Fletcher, Project Manager for
Implementation, understand the criticality of integration between their two teams for a successful
implementation. They have worked to create an
environment that encourages collaboration and
communication across their teams by having
forums for team members to receive status updates, planning
team building events, and developing internal communications
for team members to stay up to date on the latest activities.
Janine and Vernessa believe that the integration between their
teams is a priority and will continue to identify opportunities for
improvement to build a unified team.

1. What is your role? What was your job
before coming to the DIFS project?
Vernessa: My current role on the DIFS team is the Project
Manager for Organizational Change Management (OCM). My
responsibility is to provide the District with a unique change
management experience and to help make sure that the
