DREAM WORK

Teamwork is one of the OCFO's core SMARTER values
and is critical to OCFO's success and culture. We work in
small teams, big teams, project teams, program teams,
and should consider the entire OCFO organization as one
big team. Teamwork is a business buzzword that is often
used but carries a variety of meanings. It is a powerful tool
that can unify us, leverage our best skills, manifest our
strengths, foster creativity, create efficiencies and increase
morale.
Teamwork is crucial to the success of the new "District
Integrated Financial System" (DIFS) project. It is
one of the largest initiatives the OCFO and the District
Government have ever undertaken. The project will require
not only a cohesive project team but will call on all of us
within the OCFO to unite around a shared TEAM goal -
implementing a new financial system that delivers capabilities and enhancements that work for all of us. This vision
of a modernized financial system that provides benefits
to all of us, as teams and as individuals, should motivate
us to support each other, stay engaged, clearly communicate, and support the project team in every way we can.
We must stay aligned and work as one big team to ensure
success.
