CLADDING Key Considerations Concealed vs Exposed Anchors * In Exposed Systems, the screws securing the panel to the substructure are visible in the face of the panel and in Concealed Systems they are not visible * In Exposed Systems, the screws in the face of the panel are often painted to blend with the underlying panel * Exposed Systems, like the TS-110, are less expensive and easier to install than concealed systems Trespa TS-110 Exposed Trespa TS-210 Concealed Thermal Expansion & Contraction * The design must allow for continuous vertical airflow behind the panels * One anchor on each extrusion should be installed in the top of the upper most slotted hole to create a single fixed attachment point * Remaining substructure anchors should be centered vertically in the slotted, pre-drilled substructure attachment points * An approximate gap of 1/4 inch (6mm) should exist between the ends of each substructure component * Individual panels should not span the ¼" (6mm) gap above * Substructure anchor must thoroughly engage in the underlying support system (steel stud, backing plate, etc.) - 35 - www.monarchmetal.com (631)750-3000http://www.monarchmetal.com http://www.monarchmetal.com
