Legacy retailers often operate in a one-sizefits-all mentality without a clearly defined brand.
They view themselves as operations and logistics
experts-which is interesting for businesses with
such rich service histories. Interestingly, we've
found that legacy retailers have a strategic advantage over their start-up competition-locations,
lots of them. We keep reading in the news that
stores are closing everywhere, but with a pointed
refocus, we can use a brand's existing assets to
reinvent a category, we can save money and make
money at the same time. Our position is that by
exploiting the sweet-spots between physical and
digital, legacy and digitally native, we can construct a roadmap that delivers the best out of our
future emotional and automated experiences.

fuse physical experiences with digital experiences, as well as modern store intelligence methods
and how to apply them-and will be inspired to
achieve real customer lifetime value by unifying
online and offline customer experiences at retail.

The innovation and growth of the e-commerce
sector has freed up the in-store experience
to move from the transactional to the experiential. Years ago, the website was where you
learned, and the store was where you bought.
That methodology is reversed now-all the better
for stores as we know them. This movement has
enabled store designers and brands to infuse
their retail spaces with higher level experiences,
sustainable materials and brand immersion, and
we're just getting started.
