ETAILX IS A new show that
combines GlobalShop, the world's
largest annual event for shopperfacing retail design, technology
and in-store marketing, with the
Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition
(IRCE), the world's largest e-commerce event,
and RFID Journal LIVE! Retail, the world's
only RFID event dedicated specifically to retail
application. RetailX will premier June 25-27, at
McCormick Place in Chicago.

The co-located show will offer more than
400,000 sq. ft. of space for exhibitors, as well as a
variety of exciting and educational speaker presentations. Based on recent trends from the three shows,
RetailX is expected to attract and inspire more than
20,000 attendees and more than 1,200 exhibiting
brands. Educational tracks will provide a broader scope with intent to give attendees a significant
competitive edge in the rapidly evolving retail world.

Making the Most of It
HIS MONTH, the first RetailX event stages in Chicago's McCormick Place, combining the physical world of GlobalShop with the digital world of IRCE (Internet Retailer
Conference & Exhibition), as well as the RFID Journal LIVE! Retail show, uniquely
reflecting the state of retailing today. Whether you are a veteran of one or more of these existing
shows, or are entirely new to the scene, there are a number of highlights to take in.
This year, there are four different multi-day educational experiences: for the digital side of
retailing, IRCE offers workshops and seminars-more than 130 total sessions. The RFID
event has its own conference program highlighting insights into that technology's
capabilities in end-to-end product visibility, security and the latest advances.
GlobalShop offers its first-ever on-the-floor conference program, coined Pop-Up
Talks, offered at no charge to attendees, so that they can take in sessions at
their leisure without having to leave the exhibit area. Finally, for retailers that
are challenged with incorporating emerging technologies into their physical
stores, the first-ever Retail TouchPoints LIVE! conference takes place the
first two days of the show.
Another new highlight is Innovation Valley, a specially curated
area offering a unique take on retail-bound technologies: solutions
that are new to the market, have at least one pilot underway and
yet have not rolled out to the mainstream. This means a glimpse into
true innovations that are on the near horizon. (The official Podcast of
RetailX will be broadcasting from this area, too.)
And two more things to note: first of all, there will be hundreds of exhibitors
across the spectrum of retail that offer value to the online and offline worlds of
retailing, CPGs and direct-to-consumer brands-there will be something for virtually any kind of retailer, regardless of channel. Many exhibitors offer solutions for both
physical and digital retailing, so make the most of it by walking the entire floor, regardless
of your primary focus. And, lastly, don't forget the open-bar welcome receptions on both
the first and second day of the show, Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26. Cheers!
